About

Android

Blot CMS

I’ve been using the Blot CMS since 2016. This very site runs on the Blot CMS!

Browsers

Browsers are our gateway to the Internet. I’ve been using official benchmarks to systematically test them since 2015. Here are my findings of how they perform.

CMS

A Content Management System (CMS) is the software that powers your website. I’ve been working with CMSs since 2009. There are thousands of CMSs to select from.

Communication

Complex website projects need good communication between the manager, designers, developers, consultants, and, of course, you!

Community

You have a Great Idea. You’ve begun your online presence. Now you want to gather a community of people around your Great Idea.

Concrete CMS

As a Consultant, I’ve been working in the Concrete CMS since 2011. Also, for several years I used the Concrete CMS for a website of my own that had more than a thousand pages.

Content

A great website has to have great content. It needs to share things people will find worth reading. It needs to be carefully written and organized.

Contracts

A contract is a binding agreement regarding mutual responsibilities between two or more parties.

Font Size

The text at most websites is too small for me to read.

Hopefully your browser can adjust the size of the text on your screen. This is a very important accessibility feature. Yet most browsers ignore it.

I’ve been testing for this function in browsers for years. Here are my findings.

Forum

A forum is a club where your community can share comments about your Great Idea.

Hosting

If you want a website, you need a server. The main way to get a server is to rent one from a hosting entity. You select a hosting entity. And you make the key decisions, none of which are simple.

Breaking a project down into phases and steps, deciding on realistic timeframes, assigning tasks to implementers, and making budget estimates - all these parts of project planning can be laborious.

But careful planning is a must for any successful project. It is called Project Management, and it is what I can do for you!

Security

Having a secure browser is essential.

Speed

Having a fast website is essential, as is having a fast browser.

Static Site

I built a Static Site in 2020. I hosted it in Amazon Web Services (AWS). It had 70 pages.

Website

If you considering a website project, what you want it to do? What do you want it to say? What are your software options? What CMS will you select?

WordPress CMS

As a Consultant, I’ve built some sites using the WordPress CMS.

Also, since 2010 I’ve been writing my own website using the WordPress CMS. It is called Explore the Faith. It has more than 2,100 pages and more than 2.4 million words. That’s more than most enterprise websites.
